Why do I support Ukraine?

It's been more than three years since Russia invaded Ukraine, and today I'd like to cover one topic which might be useful for some of you who don't understand my pro-Ukrainian position.

It's interesting how many Americans don't get why many people from Russia support Ukraine.
It turns out that for most people from the US it's not as binary a situation as it is for me. When mentioning the war, some of them start talking about NATO, some of them repeat Russian propaganda narratives, and some of them are just simply completely out of context.

Well, let me simplify everything.

First of all, it's not a "conflict" or a "special military operation." It's a war started by the Russian Federation and its criminal dictator Putin. And there is no room for discussion about who and why started it. It's as simple as 2+2 and clear as Greenland ice.

On 24 February 2022, the Russian Federation started a full-scale invasion of an independent sovereign country that had zero military plans against Russia, and no real actions to harm Russia were taken.

There is an aggressor and there is a victim. All other "versions" are not valid and are products of Russian propaganda.

It's black and white. Simple AF. Don't allow yourself to be fooled by bullshit about Putin not wanting NATO expansion. Since the war started, NATO has accepted a few more members and actually increased its power and influence far more than before the war.

If that's not convincing enough, and you still don't understand why I, being originally from Russia, support Ukraine, let me give you an example.

Imagine this situation. You're a citizen of Australia. One day, your country starts an invasion of New Zealand. Tanks, missiles, killing of civilians. For no real reason.

Same language, common history, brother nations. One started systematically trying to devastate the other.

Would you support such actions of your government?!
