Era of Producers

In my little group chat with my tech CEO friends, there's this betting pool for the first year that there is a one-person billion-dollar company. Which would have been unimaginable without AI and now will happen.

We live in an incredible time!
Utilizing AI technologies, one person can solo:
- create a quality MVP for their business idea
- create a beautiful song
- create a production-ready animation
and much more!

Yes, without skill and effort the result will be bad. Garbage in β†’ garbage out.
But it's still mind-blowing! Likely, a year later a good Product Manager, or conversely, a software engineer with a customer-oriented mindset, will be able to solo-create an enterprise-ready product in a matter of weeks, if not days, and a talented poet will be able to turn their lyrics into a top-tier music video in days.

What does this mean?

Well, we're stepping into the era of unbelievable opportunities. I'm not sure there has ever been a time in history when a person had so many tools and opportunities to express themselves, bring their ideas to life, and do it incredibly fast.

That's why I call it the "Era of Producers." You don't have to have a huge team, you don't have to have a huge budget. The only thing that matters is the ability to build. And all you need for that is to know what parts the product consists of and analytical thinking.

Sounds fantastic, right? But the other side of the coin is that people who can't quickly adopt AI, for whatever reason, will be in trouble. And the gap between poor and rich will drastically increase.

So I would also call this moment in human history the "Era of Unfair Advantage."

Why "unfair"? Well, smart and hardworking people have always been more successful. It's all about velocity. AI just accelerates everything, including widening the gap between rich and poor. And it's pretty hard to catch up once you fall behind.
